Cleopatra: The Last Pharaoh of Egypt

Search & Download Videos:

My end-of-the-year history project ^^. We pretty much had to choose a person from the Renassance (I KNOW I can't spell) and back, and do either a report, power point, child's book, or movie on them. I *big suprise* did a movie, and being the Egypt fanatic I am I *another big surprise* did Cleopatra. I only put this up here really for the sake of my friend, who's in another class, to see it, and I hers. You don't need to comment or rate.

Egypt's Alexandria-based rulers, including Cleopatra, were ethnically Greek, descended from Alexander the Great's general Ptolemy I Soter. They would have spoken Greek and observed Greek customs, separating themselves from the ethnically Egyptian majority. But unlike her forebears, Cleopatra actually bothered to learn the Egyptian language. For Egyptian audiences, she commissioned portraits of herself in the traditional Egyptian style." - Smithsonian

Funky music....with an Ancient twang to it. One could actually imagine Cleopatra doing rap moves to this in her Palace.
  14. Donnie Says:
Octavion was a little prick. If Antony had not been so drunk most of the time - then he should have strangled the life out of Octavion well before Actium ever occurred. And Cleopatra should have allowed the Antony forces to gather and stay in Alexandria where proper supplies and cleaner water could be provided to help match the Romans. Battle on land not water. Agrippa and Octavion would have been toast then. Oh well..how many movies and books feature Augustus compared to Cleo. So Cleo won.
