Coffee aficionados in the Philippines believe they have struck gold with a specific bean that comes out naturally from civet cats once digested. The cats love eating a particular type of bean that locals believe adds to the flavour. Collecting their droppings has become a lucrative business. Al Jazeera's Marga Ortigas reports.

    The food culture of a country develops following what the nature provides. Chinese say of themselves that they eat everything that moves. Ever tried crickets, fried cockroaches or maggots in Thailand? Similar dishes can be found throughout south-east Asia.

    LOL! It's for export. Filipinos can't afford it. It will be like caviar:-) Filipinos will eat everything that moves, except humans of course. But, with this newfound "gold", at least they'll spare the civet.

    the animal is called sigbin here in central visayas. hunters use to eat it here. this video helps..since the animal is considered as endangered. maybe i can get a small capital n start a small business here. help stop the hunting n get those ppl have a living collctng d poo instead :P

    Do beautiful wealthy young blond women in California drink cat-sh*t coffee? I would really like to see that. I would take pictures of that & keep it on my desk at work.....There are many lessons in just such a picture. Just imagine that for a moment: it really takes one's breath away.
